This was a fantastic experience! Our guide, John, was super fun and very knowledgeable. He shared lots of history and architecture along the way. Really enjoyed the teaching regarding creole and cajun cuisine. Oh, and the food.... AMAZING! Bring an appetite - you will be full before the eating is done.

Our guide, Susan, was great! She took us to some great restaurants and shared the history of New Orleans and their great food. It is a great way to start out the trip, especially if you are new to New Orleans. Susan also made recommendations on other restaurants and bars to check out. Had dinner at a couple of her recommendations, Saint John and Muriel’s Jackson Square, and they were fabulous. Really great food! Also stopped in at a couple of her bar recommendations, The Spotted Cat Music Club on Frenchmen, that had great drinks and live music. And a little hole in the wall Cuban bar, Manolito, that had great food and the best fresh Pina Coladas we’ve ever had. Thanks Susan! Miss New Orleans already. Great people. Great Food. Great City!

Laurent was amazing! What a wonderful and unexpected surprise having an actual French chef conduct a French Quarter Food Walking Tour. I truly appreciated that it was a small group so we had a very special experience. Laurent was upbeat and informative. It was so personal that it really felt like he knew us and hadn't done this before. The food tastings were exceptional and we were able to eat just enough to be satisfied while also getting a taste of the rich culinary history of the city. It couldn't have been a better experience. Fantastique!

Nate was a fantastic guide! I came hungry, walked a bit and left full. He explains what goes into each food we tried and how it’s classic to New Orleans. I would definitely suggest this tour to someone who hasn’t been to New Orleans! Do it first thing!!

Good tour, okay food and suggested tip was kinda high.

The tour was great, but the food along the tour was okay, nothing spectacular. The guide took us to places where you would never thought of, maybe because nobody goes there. They suggested a 15-20% tip - I thought that was kinda high, but I guess that compensates for those who tip less. We tipped 20%.

Our tour guide, Jack, was friendly, funny, and knowledgeable about the French Quarter. He also gave us tons of ideas of what to do while in New Orleans. By the way, the food was great!

Too long winded talking and not enough tasting
Jerry_C
, Jul 2022
Food was good, but way too much needless walking and opinions on history of city. We already had a tour on the city, and this was supposed to be a food tasting tour. Not enough food tasting and too much needless information standing in the hot sun to listen to the tour guide talk on and on and on. He didn’t stop in shaded areas either, but in full direct sun with no place to sit. Just standing in the hot sun. This tour lasted 3 hours, and we had only 1 hour

Laurent was an awesome tour guide. Having a real Frenchman as your guide thru the French quarter was an unexpected treat. He was funny, took the time to answer questions we had thoroughly and was very well informed about the history of New Orleans. Also, being a chef, his knowledge of food was outstanding as well. Well worth it!

Jonn was a great tour guide. You can tell he truly loves the city and is passionate about where he lives. He was very kind with finding shade for stories and when it poured letting the rain stop some before we began going again. The food was delicious and Jonn was very informative about the food.

We took a tour with Laurent and he did an amazing job! Laurent was very knowledgeable and super friendly with everyone. We had multiple stops throughout the tour to talk about the history of the food and the city. Our tour started off a little bit rainy, so we waited it out in the gift shop we met at (which we get a discount for). After the rain let up, we headed to the French Market for some boudin sausage, then down to the gazebo cafe for some po’boys and bread pudding. After that, we walked to a nicer restaurant for some gumbo and Jambalaya. We finished the tour with some pralines. Laurent then stuck around to give out recommendations and answer any questions we had about the city and food. Overall, it was a great experience and would do it again!

Kristi was amazing! She is 5 Stars all the way. She was knowledgeable and seemed to have a passion for her city and the food. Great experience! We were a little disappointed that some of the things in the picture were not in our experience. We really wanted to try the thing in the main picture (shrimp-avocado thing). The rest of the food was A-MAZING!

The tour was very informative about New Orleans history and where the food we were trying originated from. Nate was a great guide and we got to try food we probably never would have otherwise. It was a great experience!
