12-Day Kenya and Tanzania Budget Private Safari from Nairobi

Our trip was well organized by Mr.George. His tour guide Mr.Godson in Tanzania was really very informative. Overall this was good trip except I will suggest the last two days stop in the Manyara lake can be adjusted in the Crater are. The stay in the Crater was too short. I will suggest more time in the Gonogoro and crater. Otherwise, this is a good programme except for the last two days should be readjusted for the Gonogoro and crater. I have been an avid wildlife enthusiast my whole life, so I had no doubt in my mind that a 12 day wild life safari in Kenya and Tanzania would be a once in a lifetime experience. However, I will admit to concerns about the logistical details of the trip. I enjoy my creature comforts and had nightmares about cold showers, unpalatable food or even worse the inability to charge my phone. However, I was beyond impressed by the trip organized by the Mr George Mumba and his company Perfect Wilderness. George himself greeted us before the trip and explained the tour itinerary. We were put up in good lodges/hotels for the entirety of the trip with all the necessary amenities, as we had opted for the upgrade. We were greeted at each lodge by courteous staff. The food for the entire trip was also good, with a hearty breakfast and dinner being provided each day, and on most days a packed lunch during the safari. Moving on to the safaris themselves, it was an experience to remember. We were taken for safaris by expert guides who had a good knowledge of the local flora and fauna, and who made every effort to show us the most they could. Masai Mara in particular was spectacular, with close up viewings of lions, leopards, rhinos, and many others. Each day of the trip however, had its own highlights like the climbing lions and flamingoes in Lake Manyara or the unique geography and ecosystem of Ngongoro. A special thank you to George and his team of guides, Peter, Shady, Julius and Bernard for a trip I will never forget.

Shadrack was excellent. He was caring and very informative. He is a professional tour guide. The 2 others were merely van drivers. They drove too fast. Very disappointed about the speed. we flew through the park at the lake. That was a lot to see but we didn't get time to see the rhinos there or watch for the animals because the driver was in a hurry to take some to a park near the border and it was a 4 hour drive. In Tanzania the guide was good but drove too fast also. We got to camps late after dark and we had to get oriented in the dark. We didn't get dinner until 9 pm. At the end he demanded 3 times what we were told would be a great tip. Overall Shadrack was 5 of 5. The guy in Tanzania was a 3.5 of 5 and the driver who took us to Masai Mara was 3.5 and the guy who took the group to the lake park was a 2 at best. The election caused concerns returning to Kenya the day after the election and I had to stay at airport 10 hours before my flight.

I took over 10,000 photos in 12 days, and that's definitely a personal record! Each everyday was packed with excitement in different Safari parks, thanks in large part to the experience of the drivers. By the way, each day started with a nice breakfast, and ended with excellent dinner! There was enough bottle water all the time, and I really think this was one of the most worry-free trip I have ever taken! The trip ended too soon! I could easily spend another week there.

We took 12-Day Kenya and Tanzania Safari from Nairobi and we had a great time. Our guide George is a knowledgeable and professional person who gave us great help during the safari. He is very responsible and quick to answer our questions and solve our problems. It is difficult on such a trip if you don't have a good tourist guide. However, we are very lucky to have George as our guide. The trip was wonderful on room and board too, and we enjoyed every day seeing animals, as well as people and their culture, in Africa.

This is a great tour. Our host George did a great job in every aspects. We had 15 people going on this tour and everyone of us had great time. We did everything as it was described in the itinerary. We saw great migration and Africa Big Five. It was amazing. The experience was life time. I would recommend the 400 upgrade to luxury tent. It is worth every penny. Great job and nice arrangement. I will recommend to everyone to take this tour.

Hopefully we can stay inside of Masai Mara and Serengeti longer and see more animals.

This has got to be one of the best ways to do a safari! THE PLAN: Jumping from park to park to find the Big Five, and you end up losing track of how many wild animals you've spotted. From the Masai Mara, to Lake Naivasha and Nakuru in Kenya, where you get to see animals up close and biking through Hell's Gate. To Tarangire, Lake Manyara, the endless plains of Serengeti and Ngorongoro the amazing crater of an extinguished volcano in Tanzania. A great trip planned to be an unique adventure, get the chance to see and feel animals in their habitat and get a glimpse of east African culture. ACCOMMODATION: From hotels in small cities, to camping under star-filled skies. You'll always have an acceptable bathroom in camp and even find hot water in some. Meals are also an adventure where you get to try local dishes and good amounts of Kenyan tea! Don't try lighting a cigarette in Nairobi, look for designated smoking areas. THE PEOPLE: from beginning to end you get to meet some amazing people. The guides are amazing, they know how to find the animals and give you facts about what you're seeing. Everyone is very friendly and they really enjoy sharing this experience with you. It's even more fun if you learn some basic Swahili while you're there!
