First of all Ryan was THE BEST!!! She saved me from drifting off and hooked me right to her kayak, lol. She was very patient and by the end I was a champ! She was very knowledgeable and thorough. We also seen a dolphin which was truly amazing. Can’t forget the the mud mask along the way…Yes mud, but the smoothest and most beautiful mud ever…you’ll never find that in any spa you go to! Overall, just do it and have fun! Well worth it!

A delightful morning on the water

We had a lovely 2-hour kayak tour led by Christy with about 10 people. We got good instruction before heading out on the water on technique and safety, and then had a lovely time out on the water. Christy was enthusiastic to share a plethora of local wildlife knowledge with us and overall we had a great time! I would definitely bring visiting friends back to experience this unique way to see the Charleston marshlands.

The entire experience was very nice. The young ladies in the office was so welcoming and cheerful. Our Guide Michael was a little impatient with us being first timers but overall I would say I would do it again! Not to forget seeing the dolphins was exciting.

Lovelt sunset accompanied by dolphins and pelicans

We had a lovely sunset eco kayak tour!! Our guide was nice, fun, fairly knowledgeable and seemed to really care about the nature and how we interacted with the wildlife. We didn’t see quite as many dolphins as we could’ve maybe hoped, but we did see them, as well as pelicans, other waterfowl and birds of prey, little fish and shrimp jumping out of the water and then we were super lucky to not only get a wonderful sunset but also a very cool cloud phenomenon, iridescent clouds (fire/rainbow clouds). Really some of the best spent money in Charleston, even if it was a little drive out there. And then we sat at the restaurant out there and had a specialty brew after in the dark, which was super nice!

It was our first time kayaking and Kattie made the experience exceptional by providing outstanding instructions and keeping us safe. Her knowledge of the environment was also outstanding. The only disappointment was not seeing a dolphin which we were all looking forward to.

Fantastic!

Well organized and lots of fun! The guide was super kind and knowledgeable about the local marine life and some of the geology and geography as well. I really enjoyed learning how to use the pedal-assisted steering system they had for the kayaks. It was my first time using them, so it took some time to get used to it. However, once I was, it made maneuvering in the water much easier.

Beautiful way to spend a morning!!! Katie did a wonderful job and it’s obvious she is very knowledgeable about the area and wildlife. The tide was going out that morning (with a full moon that night) so it was quite a workout on the way out. But…. Overall a super experience!

We were able to see two dolphins up close as they swam by feeding on fish. First they were out in front of us about 50 fifty feet and they popped out of the water right near our kayaks.
