A really fun day trip you don’t want to miss when in Cancun!
, Nov 2021
Pickup from our hotel was punctual and comfortable. The boat didn’t leave exactly at noon but the tour wasn’t shortened because of the delay. The tour company did try to upsell my partner & me to a private catamaran to the tune of $300 more but we declined; wasn’t a super hard sell. The boat crew were great! Other passengers were friendly, never got out of control with the open bar. Snorkeling was fun. Isla Mujeres was really nice!

First of all, the Catamaran we ´have boarded is more like a huge Bus with 70 persons ! The catamaran ship is NOT the one we can see on the picture VIATOR EXCURSION !! Instead of sailing with canvas, it used permanently its polluting engin. U star at 9h30am with music speakers at maximum level ( horrible ) . Then, they propose u snorkling activity for 20 min !! At a place without any interest , with four others boats on the side ( imagine how many poeple on the sea at this moment)!. Then, at our arrival at isla mujeres , u have bad buffet lunch at the restaurant they working with . The guide on the ship told us that we had 2 hours free time on the island and we can use the sunbeds for free on the beach ( included in our fare). The poeple working on the beach asked us 17us$ for 2 sunbeds!!!! Inacceptable !! We call d the manager to tell him it was included and free for us !! The manager of the beach has finally opologied but. He didnt pay back the other people who paid !!! ITS A SHAME !!! To conclude, she pent 200us dollars for 2 poeple , for this very bad excursion . Take the regular ferry boat instead. ( cost u around 25us each ) . VIATOR SHOULD CONTROL MORE THE QUALITY OF THIS KIND OF EXCURSIONS, especially when it’s expensive like that but differents services than explained in the advertising ! Never again !
Amazing Time!

Had a great time! Had lots of time to explore the island. The buffet food was fresh and had lots of options. The crew on the boat were amazing and made sure everyone had a great time. Snorkeling was a great experience got to see lots of fish and some underwater statues
Unforgettable journey

We had an amazing experience. Loved the snorkel and the walk around la Isla mujeres. The crew went over the limit. We felt very safe and comfortable. They never left us along, gave us all the information and helpful tips. Highly recommend.
Best day of the week.

Ok so two warnings to any who decide to partake in this excursion, 1. Be prepared to be assaulted with upgrade options (an additional $60 per person) prior to boarding the catamaran - 2. Be prepared to get pretty drunk...... Upon arrival at the boarding area - and after we were checked in for the excursion - we were approached, and felt kinda pushed to upgrade to a "bigger and better" excursion - better quality of drinks, less people on the boat, and one that offered more room (read bigger boat.) The family opted to upgrade (I think the drinks were the deterrent) I will say here and now - it was sooooo worth it. After seeing the original catamaran that we were assigned and all the people on board - looked to be somewhere around 50-75 vs 25 on ours, and they did not look overly comfortable. While we were able to spread out between the front, back inside, and topside of the Catamaran. Now drinks.... they never stopped flowing...... ALL DAY LONG...... and never once was there a bad drink served. Snorkeling - well the only disappointment from any of us was the 30 min of snorkeling along with everyone else in the area (300-500 people in the water in the same small area at the same time) Mind you this is about a 300m swim with a life vest attached to your waist, while you are trying to keep in line with your group - and not get caught up in the mass of people. Arriving at Isla Mujeres - very busy small island, full of shopping eating, and drinking experiences, second disappointment was that we only had about 1 1/2 hrs to enjoy ourselves..... oh and think about $10 fresh coconut water. Back on the Catamaran heading for the lunch buffet. All you can eat and drink within the buffet area, right at beach side. Good food, good selection, and very very good drinks.... Try the Tamarind Margarita, quite tasty, and packs a good punch in the end, don't stand up too fast. Relax alongside the pool, or in the Hammocks at water side. Back on board the catamaran - sails up and headed back to the dock. Beautiful relaxing, and yes more drinks..... Careful asking for a double, they do deliver. Would I recommend this to friends, HELL YES so long as they are not traveling with children under 18 One thing to note - they will SPAM you to subscribe to their blog and return (we don't need the reminder, we will be back on our own terms)

12/10 Great Experience!

The crew on board the fat cat was amazing! Very energetic, fun, & engaging. We upgraded to our smaller catamaran of just 30 people & wild highly recommend doing so if you’re able.
I think the event itself...
, Nov 2021
I think the event itself was fun but the email sent for arrangement for transportation to the dock was last minute an received 10 minutes before my party was supposed to leave. I enjoyed the beach and the the buffet.
