I'm a big fan of walking tours and take them almost everywhere I go around the U.S., Latin America, Europe, etc. This was one of the most memorable I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing. Mike knows his stuff about the Civil Rights movement and its importance to our history as a nation and as a human race. Equally importantly, you can tell that he cares about it deeply and holds space for his participants to process the trauma being narrated both verbally and visually. The sites and itinerary are well chosen (with a perfectly timed stop for restroom/snacks at a gas station) and the bus is comfortable. People of all ages will be very glad they spent three hours in Birmingham on this tour.

Mike was awesome and did an excellent job telling each story. This tour is one of the best tours we’ve taken because you can tell each part is carefully thought out. I would recommend this tour to anyone local or visiting Birmingham.
A "Must Do" in Birmingham.

This is an excellent place to visit. So much detailed information--some good, some bad. But information we should be aware of and learn!
A must!

Mr. Mike was an amazing guide. Very pleasant, informative, and passionate. Honestly, one of the best parts of my trip.
Amazing and unforgettable

Absolutely amazing. Mike is an absolutely amazing, gifted and wonderful tour guide. He is engaging, shared so much history and leaders I never would have known about and he is incredibly “woke”. You will see parts that make you want to cry and parts that will make you appreciate what we have been able to accomplish and this is a must see. Mike is Clay’s father and absolutely blessed to have had him as a tour guide. I’ve never met his son but Mike is everything!!! Check out this tour. It’s well worth it and you will be glad you did. You may even decide there’s still work you can do to fight for justice and equality.
