Furthermore you will get to learn how to paint them from the painters themseleves.The painters lovingly make their work, and it can be challenging to make ends meet in such a labour-intensive and competitive field. These tinga tinga paintings are one of a kind. Paintings are handmade. Like handmade clothes or furniture, paintings show the hand of their maker so you can add a touch of personality to the home. With the help of local Maasai Mama's you will be lead through a number of traditional Swahili recipes to prepare your own lunch. You will learn how the local Mama's prepare food at home using traditional cooking equipment and methods. You will learn some Swahili words for different foods and be able to get hands-on help to prepare each dish. You will learn about how Maasai build their homes and how traditional Maasai homes are set up in a "boma". You can see inside the homes and how they live. You will be able to then learn how Maasai create their own beaded jewellery and go away from the workshop with your very own bracelet. Vegetarian, gluten free and dairy free options can e catered for in the recipes.
