Greenmarket Square

Burg Street, Cape Town, South Africa, 8000

The Basics

In addition to vendors selling their wares, Greenmarket Square is home to the Old Town House (one of South Africa’s oldest buildings) and the Gothic-revival Central Methodist Mission. You may also want to visit some of the restaurants and cafés that spill out onto the cobblestone streets. If you book a comprehensive sightseeing tour of Cape Town, it will most likely include a visit to the square.

Worth it!!
The local bar was an experience worth reliving. The food was varied and there was plenty of it. Guide was excellent and informative.
